What is Battle Royale?
Battle Royale is mobile laser combat. In essence, it is similar to Call of Duty, paintball, and laser tag all together… but in real life and no projectiles.. only light. We are a MOBILE company so we do not have a fixed location. We bring the party/event to you. If you do not have somewhere to play, we will help you find a place.
Where is Battle Royale?
Because we are a MOBILE company and do NOT have a fixed location, WE BRING THE EVENT TO YOU- indoors or outdoors.
What does a normal event look like?
Here is what a normal event would look like. We will arrive on site at your location approximately 45 minutes early and greet you. We will find out where we are setting up and go ahead and set up up to 15 hunting blinds (tents) in order to hide behind. If you have a location that has natural barriers, we may not need our tents.
Then, at the start of the party, we will explain the rules and how to use the guns. Once we have done that, game time begins! We will play about 4-6 different scenarios that take between 8-15 minutes each, depending on time. These scenarios are very similar to the video games: capture the flag, king of the hill, juggernaut, search and destroy, and team elimination.
How far ahead should I book my event?
We suggest between 30-45 days in advance. Weekends book more quickly so don’t delay. Click HERE to book.
Should I tip the Battle Royale Staff Member?
That is completely up to you. Staff members always appreciate gratuity, but by no means is it required. An average tip is about 7% of the cost of the event.
Is this laser tag similar to what I have played at other arenas?
Absolutely not. This is like laser tag on steroids! This laser tag looks and feels realistic. Battle Royale’s equipment does not have vests that you wear. Instead, you will wear head sensors that opponents must aim for in order to shoot you. Furthermore, you can play Battle Royale anywhere you want, indoors or outdoors. Will Battle Royale work for my daughter’s birthday party or a bachelorette party?
Yes. Ladies enjoy Battle Royale just as much as guys. Plus, it doesn’t hurt when you get shot.

Is Friday considered a weekend?
After 5PM on a Friday is considered a weekend. If the event ends before 5PM, it is simply considered a weekday event.
If there is no vest, what do I shoot?
Each player will have 3 sensors fastened to their headband that you must hit in order to take your opponent out of the game. You will look through the red dot scope and aim at your opponents’ sensors.
What if its not dark? Can I still play Battle Royale?
Yes. Battle Royale works well in the sunlight and in lighted facilities. However, you can play at night or in dark buildings as well.
Is this paintball?
No. No sting in this game. You aren’t actually shooting anything out of your gun except light. The light however, is not harmful to your eyes like laser pens. This gun shoots the same type of light that is used on a remote control: infrared.
Where can I play Battle Royale?
Anywhere- indoors or outdoors. Battle Royale does not have a permanent location. Therefore, different properties and facilities can be used to play Battle Royale.

Who can play Battle Royale?
8+ years and above. Battle Royale even works well among families so that moms, dads, grandparents, and children/teens can play together.
What do we do for two hours of game play? Just shoot each other?
Well, yes… and no. Battle Royale has a circuit of different games and scenarios that groups will play during their game time. For example, we will do elimination, king of the hill, search and destroy, team death match, Secret Service Detail, take out the General, predator, capture the flag, traitor, last man standing and others. Each scenario should take between 5-12 minutes.
What if I have less than 12 people for my event?
That’s quite alright. We can do an event with as few as 8 people. However, the price does not change for less than 12 people.
What if I have more than 12 people for my event?
At this time, Battle Royale can provide up to 22 guns for gameplay. Battle Royale has 12-14 larger guns and 10-12 smaller guns that can work together.
What if I don’t have a place to play Battle Royale?
No worries… we will help you find a location near you that can be played… either a park district, public park, warehouse, field, or empty building. If you do not have a location and we need to rent a facility to use, those rental fees will be added to the event cost.
What if I have an open space (for example: parking lots, open fields, gymnasium, etc.) with nothing to hide behind?
We can set up portable barriers for a small fee.
What if I must change the time or location of my event?
You will not lose your deposit. We will simply reschedule for a time that works.
What if I must cancel my reservation for Battle Royale?
The 50% deposit is non-refundable. We can reschedule for another date. Any cancellation less than 14 days before the event will forfeit their deposit.
How do I book Battle Royale for my event?

How do I set up my own team and challenge other teams?
Battle Royale is in the process of making it possible to create teams and profiles at mybattleroyale.com. For now, you can use Facebook or other means to put together a team and then challenge other teams.
What if it rains during my outdoor event and it must be cancelled?
No worries, we will reschedule with you to find another time.
Can Battle Royale be played in the rain?
Yes, but only light rain. In the case of heavy rain, we will reschedule with you.
How accurate are the guns in Battle Royale?
The guns are extremely accurate and built well. They are very durable and can fire over 1400 feet in the daylight.
How do I get hit and how do I know if I was hit?
Instead of wearing a large vest, you will wear a velcro headband and have 3 red sensors attached to it. When you aim at someone, you must aim through the red dot scope and aim for their sensors (head shots!). When you are hit, your sensors will light up momentarily and your gun will make a wounded sound. Once you are shot a certain number of times (TBD), your gun will stop working and your sensors will stay lit until you respawn or the next game.
What is the minimum age that can play?

How do I know if my space is large enough to play in?
This question is difficult to answer. Ask yourself, is my space large enough for 12 people to move around freely and have fun without running into one another? It does not have to be open space, but it cannot be so small that they are running into one another all the time. Also, are there breakable items? If so, that space might not be best. The younger the crowd, the smaller the space necessary. For example, for kids, a backyard might work well.
How can I pay for Battle Royale?

Can I rent Battle Royale for more than 2 hours?

Can I play Battle Royale in the forest preserve?
Unfortunately, no. Nothing that resembles a gun is allowed in the forest preserve.
Can I use Battle Royale outside in the forest or a field?
Yes. Battle Royale can be played anywhere and can shoot at 1400 feet in the daylight. However, forest preserves are not available to use. If you have access to private outdoor areas, those might work well. Contact us to find out.

Do I have to sign a waiver for myself or my child in order to participate?
Yes, in order to participate in Battle Royale, you must sign a liability waiver for yourself and/or minor who is participating.
